At the same time, students here are more than accepting of their professors’ mentorship and support. They come to expect and appreciate this extra attention. The intellectual experience is guided and structured under the tutelage of professors.
Study abroad is encouraged as a community service. What about politics? Similar to many colleges, students at Colby tend to be left of center, and question the status quo as a common rite of passage.
However, these students are comfortable with traditional values as they eagerly explore cultural and social perspectives. The graduates believe that their multi-cultural studies will positively impact the communities in which they will work and live.
